Last weekend was the 77th Anniversary celebration of KPFA-FM. A screening of a documentary film was shown to a packed house at the Alameda Theatre followed by the after-party at Radio Central with well over 150 visitors thoroughly enjoying food trucks, the bar and, of course, the numerous exhibits, displays and artefacts that is CHRS.  The following volunteers were outstanding by sharing their knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm with these visitors, many of whom were at Radio Central for the first time:

Breanna Devlin, Michelle Carney, Walt Hayden, Dennis Monticelli, John Kim, Steve Kushman, Joe Souza, Dan Ethen, Jerry Haussler, Matt Jacoby all insured our guests were enlightened and informed about vintage radios, communications equipment and broadcasting history along with our building’s history and significance to Alameda.
