Park Street will not be the only location featuring Classic Cars. We know that many of you have classic, unusual, funky, just plain old or great cars. So, bring them to Radio Central Saturday for CHRS Car Show Day. Park them in our lot for all to see. 2152 Central Avenue in Alameda.

MEET SAM VAN ZANDT – AT NOON

Bay Area Radio Legend with 50 years in Radio, KBAY’s Morning Show Host, Sam Van Zandt will be swinging by Radio Central in his 2002 T-Bird to say hello. Meet Sam who is one of our newest inductees in the Bay Area Radio Hall Of Fame as part of the Class of 2014. Sam will share radio stories from his distinguished broadcasting career and will also bring some Exclusive KBAY music CDs to give away. So, come by and say hi to Sam.

Philip Monego will have his vintage restored Willys Jeepster on Park Street covered with signs directing car show visitors to Radio Central where they can see our cars, see the Big Room at Radio Central, and be able to buy CHRS merchandise. Also in the lot we will have some restored radios and other vintage stuff for sale. If you have any restored and working vintage, kitchy radios or other items to be sold by CHRS, please bring them by.

It’s a Yellow Shirt Day as we will need volunteers to act as docents and sales staff. Demolition is on hold this Saturday.
