Stan Bunger gave a great talk about the Tong family and their Golden Star Radio Company. Stan also announced that CHRS will be working with the Tong family to raise funds to refurbish and repaint the famous Golden Star Radio sign in SF’s Chinatown. Stay tuned to see how you can help.
Ben Fong-Torres and Celeste Perry Announced the new 2025 Class of the Bay Area Radio Hall Of Fame. The 2025 induction luncheon is October 18th at Scott’s Seafood in Oakland.
We had a great auction! Our auctioneers Jim Gabbert & Rosie Allen relax after a job well done. They had our bidders clammoring to bid. We sold over half of our lots. And raised much needed funds. Some unsold radios will be available at Radio Central for the start prices.
