Join us for a fun\, hands-on activity where young visitors will learn the basics of Morse code\, which is one of the earliest forms of electronic communication\, and put that knowledge to work by creating a personalized Morse code keychain using beads. \nThis drop-in workshop is designed especially for kids and teens and blends history\, creativity\, and simple problem-solving in an engaging\, age-appropriate way. The presentation will feature a slideshow of historic photographs\, memorabilia\, and radio artifacts that bring this remarkable era of broadcasting to life. \nThe afternoon will begin with a casual meet-and-greet with light refreshments\, followed by Don’s presentation and an audience Q&A session. Copies of Don’s book will also be available for purchase and signing following the talk. \n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]\nAuthor Bio\nDon Sainte-Johnn is a former KFRC air personality and veteran of the Top 40 radio era whose career spans major markets including San Francisco\, Sacramento\, San Diego\, St. Louis\, Modesto\, and Yuma. He spent 13 years with iHeart Sacramento in broadcast roles across the region. \nBest known for his time at KFRC during its hit-making heyday\, he was part of a generation of broadcasters who helped define personality-driven radio and shape the sound of an era. \nHe is the author of San Francisco’s Last Top 40 Disc Jockey\, a memoir that blends behind-the-scenes radio stories\, cultural history\, and personal reflection from inside one of America’s most iconic formats. \nToday\, he speaks\, teaches\, writes\, and consults on broadcasting\, media\, and storytelling.
