If you are bidding on site you will need an auction paddle. They are $5. If you are not here, you can participate by…

REMOTE BIDDING: If you want to bid on items in our auction, but can’t be at Radio Central July 20th, you can CLICK HERE FOR THE ON-LINE BIDDING FORM.

Read the simple instructions and fill out all required fields. Be sure to include the Lot Numbers and the highest amount you are willing to bid for that lot. During the live auction, a proxy bidder will bid for you up to your maximum. You will be notified as to the results of your bids. If you are the winning bidder, you must pay by PayPal within 24 hours after the close of auction. If payment is not received within 24 hours, the sale is void. All items to be picked up at CHRS Radio Central in Alameda unless other arrangements are made for shipping at bidder’s expense. THE FIRM CUT OFF TIME FOR REGISTERING REMOTE BIDS IS 6PM JULY 18th.

The California Historical Radio Society presents Radio Day by the Bay- Live!  In Alameda 2024, an all-day celebration of all things related to radio and wireless communication. Come listen to live music, a 1951 radio play featuring Bay Area DJ’s, an auction with almost 100 collectible vintage radios, back yard electronics surplus sale, vintage refurbished bluetooth enabled radios for sale, food trucks, and full access to tour the extensive collection of the museum.
The Master of Ceremonies with be Terry McGovern.  Mayor Ezzy-Ashcroft will be giving an address.  Valerie Anderson will be signing her new book “Sparks in the Ether.”  There will be Spark Gap demonstrations.  Ben Fong-Torres & Renel Brooks-Moon will be announcing the 2024 Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame class.  We will be recognizing the 2024 Legendary Station honoree, KDFC and also the CHRS volunteer of the year, and much much more.  You don’t want to miss it!
