Celebrate the Legacy of Radio KEEN!

Radio KEEN first hit the airwaves at 1370 AM from its studio at the historic De Anza Hotel in San Jose on June 21, 1947, and for 45 years, it was a beloved voice in the Bay Area. It was such a momentous occasion that San Jose Mayor Al Ruffo and legendary entertainer Red Skelton were there for its debut!

This year, the Bay Area Radio Museum and Hall of Fame is honoring Radio KEEN as its Legendary Station of the Year—and we’re celebrating in style!

Join us on Sunday, June 8th, from 4–7 PM at History Park in San Jose as we pay tribute to KEEN’s rich legacy, its on-air personalities, and the dedicated people behind the scenes. We’ll also be joined by the families of the station’s co-founders, who helped make KEEN a cherished part of Bay Area radio history.

Enjoy live country music from the Patty Kistner Band, and grab a bite from the food and beverage trucks on-site—or bring your own picnic and relax with friends at one of the many picnic tables.

Don’t miss this special event—it’s sure to be a trip down memory lane for KEEN fans and a chance to honor a station that left a lasting mark on the airwaves!

General Admission Tickets are $40 each.
