Salon will include film short by Alexander Adams and Kelly Candaele

Film Shorts:

Confessions of a Well-Meaning Man–  Written, directed, produced, and edited by three neighbors living int he same apartment complex.  Filmed on location at the California Historical Radio Society in a real old-fashioned radio studio, the environment adds realism, charm, and humor becomes another character in the story.  The radio studio enhances the cinematic and darkly comedic monologue that tells the story of an Irish priest (played by a local Irish actor) live not he air during a hurricane.  Due to a broadcast regulation that states NO DEAD AIR ON THE RADIO, our protagonist stumbles into serious subject matter: infidelity, celibacy in the Catholic Church, and serial murders.  Irish actor Alan Coyne who starred in this will be on hand for Q&A.

St. Kevin and the Blackbird at the Wilshire Grand– Workers building the Wilshire Grand high-rise in Los Angeles stop to read and mediate on Irish poet Seamus Heaney’s poem St. Kevin and the Blackbird.

Suggested Donation $10-$20
