In 1968, after an early career in Minnesota and North Dakota, the True Don Bleu became a rising star at KDWB, the powerhouse Top 40 station in the Twin Cities, where he entertained listeners for a decade. His success in Minneapolis-St. Paul propelled him to the iconic KHJ in Los Angeles, and in 1980, he made his way to the Bay Area, joining 99.7 KYUU as its morning personality in 1981.

Over the years, Don has earned numerous accolades, including being named National Adult Contemporary Air Personality of the Year twice by Radio & Records Magazine. Beyond radio, he became a familiar face on television, hosting The Gong Show and programs for the Discovery Channel and HGTV. In 1982, he won a Northern California Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Commentary/Analysis for his record review segments on Evening Magazine on KPIX-TV.

Don delighted his listeners as “Bleu in the Morning” on Star 101.3 FM, sharing his signature humor, legendary Bleu-per calls, and infectious energy with fans every morning. He will be interviewed by award winning radio and television journalist, Rosie Lee Allen.
