The California Historical Radio Dociety presents the first ever boombox building contest.
Open to the general public, you have until July 19th to custom fabricate your very own boombox or an interpretation of a boombox.
Your build will be based on two different criteria:
A: Functionality 50%
Participants will present their boomboxes and demonstrate how they work and what they do. Any and all audio media and audio equipment is acceptable.
B: Creativity 50%
Equally important is how creative you are with your build:
- style
- materials (Scrap lumber? Found objects? Random junk in the house?)
- safety (submissions must be safe for operation)
Winner will receive a full paid year of membership to the California Historical Radio Society.
Winner will also have the option to display their Creation in the museum for one month.
